Our approach
We are designing the website so people can navigate with a keyboard, use screen-reading and magnification software, resize text, understand headings and links, and access the same essential information without relying on images or PDFs.
Features already included
- Semantic page structure and labelled navigation
- A skip link to bypass repeated navigation
- Visible keyboard focus and sufficiently large controls
- Responsive layouts that reflow on smaller screens
- Reduced-motion support
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- HTML information for essential worship, contact and safeguarding content
Known work before launch
- Complete keyboard, screen-reader, zoom and colour-contrast testing
- Review every migrated image and document
- Provide accessible alternatives for important legacy PDFs
- Test enquiry errors and confirmations with assistive technology
- Add a tested method for reporting accessibility problems
Tell us about a problem
If you cannot access something, contact office@allsaintswsm.org or call 01934 415379. Tell us the page and what you were trying to do, and we will offer the information in another format where possible.
Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, the Equality Advisory and Support Service can provide advice about the Equality Act 2010.
