Music at All Saints

Voices, instruments and a remarkable acoustic

Music is fundamental to the worship and wider life of All Saints.

The parish choir

Sing with us

The choir sings at Sunday Choral Parish Mass and for festivals through the year. It is a small, committed and friendly group which rehearses on Thursday evenings.

New singers are welcome. You do not need to be part of the congregation before getting in touch.

The Compton organ

A distinctive instrument

Built in 1935 by the John Compton Organ Company, the instrument incorporates pipes from an earlier Griffen & Stroud organ and uses illuminated stop controls modelled on Downside Abbey.

The historic organ requires major restoration. A digital organ currently supports worship while the parish considers the instrument’s future.

Concerts and recordings

A space made for sound

All Saints is known for its fine acoustic and has welcomed professional ensembles, broadcasters and recording companies. The church is available for concerts and recording sessions.
